The Company has India’s largest Single Super Phosphate (SSP) production capacity of 11,13,500 MT in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat.

Single Super Phosphate (SSP)

Single Super Phosphate (SSP) is basal dose straight Phosphatic fertilizer that has 16% of P2O5 (NACS) and 11% of sulphur & is mainly used in the agricultural sector. Since India is an agriculture based economy, the principal use of SSP is evident. It is used at the time of preparation of the land and is usually high in demand owing to its water-soluble phosphate content that is easily consumed by plants. Additionally, its effectiveness remains unquestioned when it comes to prospects for a better yield. It is also the cheapest source of Phosphatic for plants and hence very popular among the farming community.
SSP is a sulphur containing fertilizer which is extremely essential for oil seed & pulses. The government of India is making a lot of efforts to increase oilseed/pulses production to avoid imports of these commodities which may continue for another 20-30 years. Hence, the significance of SSP has become more specific as “S” (Sulphur) is available almost free of cost through this fertilizer.
We are the leading manufacturer of Single Super Phosphate Fertilizer in the country. It is being produced with the help of our state-of-the-art automatic plants located at various locations across the country. The fertilizer is available in popular brand names such as —
Khaitan Single super Phosphate. – Powder & Granulated
Utsav Single super Phosphate– Powder & Granulated

These brands are very popular among farming communities in the states of MP, CG, UP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab etc.

The Solvent Extraction Plant at Ratlam, West Madhya Pradesh was started in 1992 as a division of “Radico Khaitan Limited”. However, in the family reorganisation in 1995 the division was spun off as a separate company in the name of “Khaitan Soya Limited”. Subsequently in February 2001, it merged with Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited.
Since its inception in 1985, the Solvent Extraction Plant has always earned cash profits. The initial capacity of the plant of 90000 TPA was increased to 120000 TPA after it became a part of the Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Group. In 2005, the capacity was again increased to 420,000 TPA.

KSL commissioned a 30000 TPA refinery in 2000-2001 and launched the refined oil in the consumer market under the brand name ‘Khaitan Vegetable Oil’. The product has received a very positive response from the market.

The group has always focused on using state-of-the-art technology, which has been rewarded through its excellent quality of production.

Both the plants, the Solvent Extraction and the Refinery have been sourced from world renowned manufacturers.

Khaitan Agro (Unit of Khaitan Chemical & Fertilizer Ltd.)

The capacity has put up a new plant for soy seed processing of 300000 TPA which was commissioned in August, 2005.

Crude Soya Oil

The process of manufacturing crude Soya oil starts from the selection of high grade soya seeds from the producing belts of M.P. The crushing of seed is done in the most hygienic conditions in plants partly imported from Belgium. The oil is sold to nearby refineries & to plant manufacturing Vanaspati as well as other edible oils. However, a major part of the production is passed onto the Company’s own refinery commissioned in the first quarter of 2000.

Refined Vegetable Oil

The crude oil received from the Solvent Extraction Plant is passed through a number of processes under strict hygienic conditions and quality control. The refined oil is marketed under the brand of “Khaitan Vegetable Oil”. The soya oil is considered to be the best among edible oils, owing to its low, almost negligible levels of saturated fats which lead to cholesterol deposits in the blood vessels. The Soya Oil also has a high content of Vitamin E, which helps take care of one’s skin.

De-Oiled Cake

Soyabean Meal (De-Oiled Cake) is another product in the manufacturing of Soya Oil and has its main application in the formulation of Cattle Feed. Because of its high protein content of 48% by weight as compared to 40% to 42% in the products supplied by the USA and Brazil, Indian Soya Meal is preferred over those manufactured by other countries.
The Company’s main activities are Fertilizer, Sulphuric Acid, Soya Oil and Power Generation for captive consumption.

Power Division

The company generates steam as a by-product in the manufacturing process and has installed a Turbo Generator to generate upto 3325 KW power by utilising its steam. KCFL has commissioned a captive power plant of 2800 KW in Nimrani and a 525 KW in Jhansi, which operates on steam, the by-product of Sulphuric Acid plant.
The Company has further installed and commissioned a Wind turbine Generator with a capacity of 1250 KW in Dhulia, Maharashtra in September 2006 for generating electricity by harnessing the winds.
